ABOUT THE BOOK
Tweens are children between 8 and 13
who think and behave completely different than their parents'
generation did when they were kids. Tweens struggle with inner
chaos and seek outer x-factor; one moment they try to look and act
like young adults, and the next they're suddenly small children
again. So how do we establish a new parent-children-relationship
that supports the children, making them happy while imbuing them
with high self-esteem?
Without any raised fingers but with
lots of affection, this book encourages modern parents to guide
their children by a new set of rules. It provides wisdom and
understanding that break rigid myths and introduce new family
values such as responsibility, independence, integrity and
equality, curiosity and frankness.
Through everyday cases and abundant
insight, the authors explain the thoughts and emotions of tweens
and how to provide them with joy and a sense of being valued. In
short, this is a guide to manoeuvring children through the
challenging time of being tweens, giving them the courage to being
themselves.
