ABOUT THE BOOK
Puberty is a period marked by maturing
and growth. The body grows. The world grows. Life grows.
The codeword for the teenage years is
growth. It's one of the phases of life when things move really
fast. The body shoots up, one's social network and emotional life
expand, and day by day the world gets bigger and more
diversified.
The Boy Zone is an expedition
through the lively landscapes of puberty - seen from the boys'
perspective. In the book you can read all things worth knowing
about puberty, the body, love and sex as the book zooms in on
anatomical development and the amazing metamorphosis of the body,
on emotions, falling in love, boundaries, parents, friends,
girlfriends, sexual arousal, fantasies and dreams. It deals with
the mental as well as the physical change, discussing subjects such
as bullying and the sense of being adequate. And finally the book
provides a crash course on how girls work ...
Frank and accessible - even as it deals
with difficult topics - the book is, above all, a celebration of
boyhood and its amazing array of possibilities. The book is
intended for boys from the age of 10.
