ABOUT THE BOOK
Gardening isn't rocket science-that's the premise of this book,
which encourages readers to put on their Wellingtons and take to
heart the following nine principles:
- When you're in the garden, life is good
- There is no such thing as a green thumb
- Untilled soil quickly grows wild
- Going organic is easy
- Make room for mistakes
- Growing a garden is also about enjoying life
- Prune-or don't
- You don't need a strong man to help you
- This is all you need to know
A NOVICE IN THE GARDEN makes gardening
manageable and imparts useful knowledge on how to grow a lovely
flowerbed or start a small vegetable garden, in addition to
providing information about soil, water, fertilizers,
pregermination, gardening tools, and tips for a visit to the plant
nursery.
