Ny i haven

A novice in the garden

ABOUT THE BOOK
Gardening isn't rocket science-that's the premise of this book, which encourages readers to put on their Wellingtons and take to heart the following nine principles:

  • When you're in the garden, life is good
  • There is no such thing as a green thumb
  • Untilled soil quickly grows wild
  • Going organic is easy
  • Make room for mistakes
  • Growing a garden is also about enjoying life
  • Prune-or don't
  • You don't need a strong man to help you
  • This is all you need to know

A NOVICE IN THE GARDEN makes gardening manageable and imparts useful knowledge on how to grow a lovely flowerbed or start a small vegetable garden, in addition to providing information about soil, water, fertilizers, pregermination, gardening tools, and tips for a visit to the plant nursery.

Chapters include:
