ABOUT THE BOOK
Handicrafts are once again taking off. Countless blogs and websites
have appeared to promote creative projects involving knitting,
sewing, and crocheting, which are all gaining in popularity. A
certain amount of friendly competition has even emerged in the
effort to share projects with other enthusiasts, for example on
Facebook and other social media. But book publishers are also
giving creative talents more and more opportunities to share their
knowledge. Three such talented individuals are the well-known
designers Rachel Søgaard, Stine Hoelgaard Johansen, and
Karen Marie Dehn. Their new handicraft book, Homemade, is a
must-have book for readers seeking creative inspiration for their
handicraft projects. The book picks up on all the latest trends and
provides ideas for every kind of handicraft project - both big and
small.
Politiken's new handicraft book
presents 58 exciting new patterns for items you can make, both for
the home and for personal use. The instructions are written in a
simple, easy-to-follow style so that you can quickly get started.
The book has designs for every reader: those who are beginners,
those who have had some experience, and those who are very familiar
with handicraft techniques. You'll find plenty of interesting tips
and techniques. The book includes beautifully clear illustrations
and photographs of all the designs: crocheted pillows, coverlets,
shawls, vests, and covers for your Mac computer; knitted mittens
with embroidered peace signs and stitched patchwork quilts; a fur
vest, a poncho with inventive knitted patterns, and clever small
items, such as coffee-cup warmers; along with many other ideas. You
can either follow the instructions or use the book and its
illustrations as inspiration for your own projects.
