ABOUT THE BOOK
This is a cookbook for cancer patients
and their families who are looking to improve their way of life and
perhaps prevent further cases of cancer through their diet. It is
also useful for anyone looking for nutritious, delicious as well as
preventive food.
The eating habits and ways of living in
the Western part of the world are estimated to cause approximately
a third of all cases of cancer or more. The Good Kitchen provides
the reader with insight into the latest research on diets and
cancer and offers recipes for healthy food.
The recipes are based on the latest
research results within food and cancer as well as in-depth
interviews with a number of the leading Danish cancer
specialists.
When choosing which basic ingredients
that were to be included, the authors chose to avoid dairy food,
red meat and most pre-fabricated goods, and it has been a goal to
create recipes that compensate for these, so they won't be missed
for a second. Instead the recipes include loads of fruit,
vegetables and coarse cereals, that will help prevent cancer
development
