ABOUT THE BOOK
After her success with the bestseller Blomsterberg's Sweets, the
pastry chef and TV host Mette Blomsterberg is back with a book
focusing on cakes and other desserts - filled with recipes for
sweet delectables for the entire family. The author invites
everyone to gather around the kitchen table and discover the fun of
creating something delicious together. Today, since many people
find themselves short on time, most desserts and snacks are bought
at the supermarket. But Blomsterberg encourages readers to embrace
homemade treats instead, and the process of creating them with
other family members.
"This book is a tribute to homemade
desserts - from layer cakes to strawberry jam and elderberry juice.
The joy is not just in eating these delicious treats, but also in
the process of creating them. This is something that children have
discovered. The recipes are also so easy to make - and parents will
find it reassuring to know exactly what their children are putting
in their mouths," says Mette Blomsterberg.
Blomsterberg's Delectables - For
Children and the Young at Heart is filled with recipes just waiting
for you to start cooking. Enticing pictures and easy-to-follow
instructions invite readers, both big and small, to launch into the
creation of such treats as chocolate sponge cake, homemade
strawberry skewers, raspberry bars, rum balls, cupcakes, fruit with
custard, cream puffs, homemade crisp bread, rhubarb cake,
children's Christmas punch, candied apples, soft buns, licorice
candies, and various healthy snacks. Blomsterberg's Delectables -
For Children and the Young at Heart provides plenty of fun recipes
for any family that loves desserts.
