Maja is completely in control of her
life. Sort of. One day, she wakes up after a party in the wrong
man's bed, without a clue how she ended there, and she completely
looses her usual grip on life.
Together with a friend she sets out to find out exactly what
happened that night after the party and to restore her comfortable
life. However, Maja's panicky attempt to regain control is
disturbed by a pair of purple knickers and a cup of coffee which is
far too hot - and then it becomes too hard to keep focus.
With this compellingly well-written debut novel, Malene Dietz
provides a convincing contribution to the chick lit genre. 'The
Smell of Coffee' is Danish chick lit at its best!
