The Ghost Prisoner

ABOUT THE BOOK

A carefully planned assassination of two top members of the underworld ignites a bloody gang war in the town of Esbjerg. Still, to everyone's surprise, the highly respected DI Nina Portland is removed from the investigation and assigned to a trivial task. A private plane has crashed on the West Coast, and a passenger has died from his injuries. Nina Portland is to conduct a routine investigation, but several circumstances surrounding the accident stir her suspicion that not everything is as it should be.

While the gang war culminates in a family tragedy, highranking intelligence officers announce their arrival. Hence, the case about the plane crash takes a highly dramatic turn; a secret passenger was on board the plane, but has now vanished without a trace.

An international scandal materializes, and as time goes by, Nina Portland has more and more difficulty distinguishing between what is true and what is not, and backstage a wary character follows the course of events - preparing to strike.

press

"Jens Henrik Jensen's third novel featuring the small-town cop Nina Portland is a close contender for being the perfect modern-day novel. Full of nerve and intensity, it serves up a dramatic plot with gang wars, police reforms and international terrorism" JYDSKE VESTKYSTEN
