Kongens staldknægt

The king's stable boy

Thea of almost 14 lives with her adoptive parents in a small town. At school she is asked to do a paper on her family chronicles and she decides to detect the identity of her biological parents. She throws herself into a grand investigation assisted by Kalle, the new boy in school.

At night, Thea is haunted by recurring nightmares in which she is chased by four knights on horseback. The year is 1626 and Denmark is ruled by King Christian the Fourth.

Mysteriously, the two storylines begin to intertwine and Thea slowly realizes that there might be a connection between the two worlds. The more she learns about the past - which seems to be beyond her wildest dreams - the more she starts to wonder: Who am I after all - Thea or Thyra? And am I in fact dealing with a completely different life of a different time in history?

Insanely exciting and extremely well put together, the story line is constantly intriguing- packed with vivid passages of smells and sounds which draw the reader into the setting.
