series designed for beginner readers. Each book is provided with a

THE NEW TITLES IN THE SERIES
WHEN IDA GAVE MUM A DAY OFF
Ida's dad is a car salesman, and her mum works in an office. Mum
is always very busy, and Ida and Dad sometimes forget to help out
and do chores. So for her birthday, Ida decides that all she wants
is to give her mum a day off.
WHEN IDA'S GRANDAD GOT HIS WINGS
Ida's grandad has taken ill and has been put in hospital. But
when you have been around for 100 years, it's about time to go, as
Grandad says. But Ida doesn't want Grandad to die. After all, he is
her best friend. And where does he go to when he dies?
THE PRINCESS IN THE TOWER
Three sisters, Lea, Ea and Thea, are on a bicycle vacation on
the island of Bornholm. But what is there to do when you are stuck
in a tent in rainy weather? Then Mum begins to tell them the story
of a princess who was once held a prisoner in the old castle
nearby. This is probably just another one of her usual fairytales -
or is it?
THE AUTHORS
Per Theil (author of the two books about Ida) is an MA, author
and critic. He has worked for many years as a critic and column
writer on one of the leading Danish newspapers. The series about
Ida is his debut as a writer of children's books.
Elisabeth Gjerulff Nielsen (author of 'The Princessin the
Tower') is an experienced writer of children's books. She is also a
composer and a singer-songwriter, and is well-known in Denmark for
her many entertaining children's shows with lots of singing,
reading and dancing going on. She is also author of the Politiken
series 'Electrical Heidi'.
THE OLDER TITLES IN THE SERIES
The series additionally includes the
titles 'Princesses Don't Play Football' (by Maria Montell),
'Missing' (by Daniel Zimakoff), 'The Coolest Guy Around' (by
Renée Toft Simonsen), 'In the Dead of Night' (by Shane
