Noas ark II

Noah's ark II

A sequel to the story of Noah’s Ark, for children aged 6+

Most people know the biblical story about Noah and his ark, and how he saved a bunch of animals from all over the world. However, not many people know what happened to the animals that were left behind in stormy weathers: the ones that were too weak, too tough or too dangerous; the unwanted ones.

Among the abandoned animals were Mrs. Ozzy, an ostrich of action; and pedagogical Kelefine the elephant; philosophizing Matt the rat; anxious Grydpaf the giraffe, the frog Froggy, a hypochondriac; Kirsten the parrot; and Bonzo the bear who is always hungry.

These abandoned animals stood by and watched as Noah's Arks sailed away, as the sky darkened. So far, they had never had to care about anyone else but themselves, but now, they realized, they needed to stand togetherand build another Ark, Noah's Ark II, with room for everyone, big or small, in order to set out and find Noah's Ark.

Because of the democratic voting system on board, they end up travelling far and wide. Finally, they reach a small island off the coast of Denmark. Here, the animals start to turn their weaknesses into strengths, and soon individualism turns into solidarity. In the end, they decide to form their own Paradise-like society, called The Logical Garden, the first zoological garden in the world.
