ABOUT THE BOOK
Flying Grandma is looking after her
grandchild Eve while the parents are on vacation. Each day means a
new outing which doesn't turn out quite the way Eve had hoped: A
man in a hurry yells and pushed his way through the bus and Flying
Grandma tells him that he reminds her of a story she once heard.
Then she embarks on a tale, gesturing with her arms and legs as she
recounts the tale, making all the passengers stare at her wide-eyed
and wondering as they leave the bus.
"You're so old-fashioned, Grandma."
"If Flying Grandmas shouldn't be
allowed to be old-fashioned, then who should?", she says, smiling
at her granddaughter before taking her to the Zoo where the story
gets another twist.
Flying Grandma tells stories by, among
others, Selma Lagerlöf, Hans Christian Andersen and Victor
Hugo, while virtues such as kindness, frugality and many more come
flying out of her handbag in a whirling, vibrant journey through
worlds of wisdom and entertainment.
